JaguarROM-v46 (enchilada-8/7/2024 vanilla) Debloat : OK (not for telephony / bluetooth, but for my intended application it works so fine I regretted reflashing the OP6 only to cancel the regret out since there's this textfile) Last updated : 8/8/2024 Changelog : 8/8/2024 - Initial commit Pre-debloat (i dunno, probably better than letting system consume too much resource for nonexistent tasks?) - Shortcuts : settings > Rom control > Lockscreen - un-toggle all "shortcut on lockscreen" & reboot - cell broadcast (optional) : settings > apps & notifications > Wireless Emergency alerts - disable everything - microG : settings > privacy > MicroG Support - toggle to enable (I explicitly need microG for FGO) /system/apex com.android.apex.cts.shim.apex com.android.cellbroadcast.capex com.android.neuralnetworks.apex /system/app BasicDreams Bluetooth BluetoothMidiService CarrierDefaultApp LiveWallpapersPicker NxpNfcNci OmniJaws PrintRecommendationService PrintSpooler SimAppDialog Stk Terminal WallpaperBackup /system/priv-app AudioFX (optional, as it can be used to change up sounds unlike ArrowOS' MusicFX which doesn't seem to do anything) BlockedNumberProvider BuiltInPrintService CalendarProvider (optional, required for Etar) CallLogBackup CellBroadcastLegacyApp ContactsProvider FaceUnlockService HotwordEnrollmentOKGoogleWCD9340 HotwordEnrollmentXGoogleWCD9340 ManagedProvisioning MmsService Seedvault Tag Telecom TelephonyProvider TeleService Updater WfdService /system/product/app Etar > Fossify Calendar (optional, or required only if CalendarProvider is deleted) LatinIME > SimpleKeyboard (rkkr) messaging / PhotoTable / QtiTelephonyService > Fossify Gallery (delete other unused) /system/product/priv-app Contacts Dialer ims Metro opencamera - move to /product/app/opencamera [or whatever name you've preferred] (optional) qcrilmsgtunnel shelter /system/system_ext/app EVERYONE (but leave the /app folder un-deleted) /system/system_ext/priv-app CarrierConfig EmergencyInfo Gallery2 QuickAccessWallet SetupWizard /vendor (only if it's available; otherwise skip) /app/CneApp /etc/apps /etc/cne Setup QS : DND, battery saver (or auto-rotate), flashlight, wi-fi, caffeine, volume (if only there was camera & mic switch from A12 I would have replaced DND & battery saver with it, but alas those were "implemented" by an all-in-one "sensors off" toggle) adb shell commands (scuffed edition) : settings put global captive_portal_http_url (insert http url of decent captive portal provider that's not /e/ or Go-ogle) settings put global captive_portal_https_url (insert https url of decent captive portal provider that's not /e/ or Go-ogle) settings put global captive_portal_fallback_url (insert fallback url of decent captive portal provider that's not /e/ or Go-ogle) settings put global captive_portal_other_fallback_urls (insert "other_fallback_urls" url of decent captive portal provider that's not /e/ or Go-ogle) settings put global ntp_server about:blank (or replace about:blank with any decent ntp server, such as pool.ntp.org if you need network time) settings put secure show_rotation_suggestions 0 Additional notes : - TWRP 3.5.2_9.0 & OOS10 vendor/firmware is mandatory for the OP6 to flash Jaguar. So don't wipe vendor when flashing Jaguar. - Speaking of OOS10 vendor, Jaguar uses stock vendor so whatever shit you've done to it will persist until you've reflashed OOS10 or any custom ROM with inbuilt vendor partition. It's also why I added the "only if it's available; otherwise skip" mark, since this is probably incomplete (I can only hope those 3 were all that I deleted off /vendor). - Jaguar's updater is actually more useless than others' thanks to the lack of OTA (not to mention 1st-party server or any availability for older builds). Not that it matters to me since I'll be nuking it anyway, but then I don't usually update my system without a REALLY GOOD reason so if local updates are important to you maybe don't cut updater? - Jaguar's DocumentsUI doesn't open Downloads on opening. Which is nice, since I now have the option to extract it (copy, not cut; I'm not dealing with the aftermath of the latter) for other ROMs... - Jaguar renamed the Android System (android) package to JaguarOS. Doesn't exactly matter for this textfile but will be in the app manager. - microG actually works as user-app in Jaguar as long as the toggle for it is enabled. - Boot animation is in /system/media if there's any need to change it, with only 1 bootanimation.zip present. - Shattered Pixel Dungeon & Xeonjia's background songs reliably play in Jaguar ROM. There's no arbitrary volume limiters in place as well so it's the best of both worlds. - OpenCamera is inbuilt in Jaguar ROM, in /system/product/priv-app. Personally, I disagree with the /priv-app placement, but OpenCamera is my preferred camera application so I don't exactly mind it. It also comes with a bonus of being set up almost exactly to my preferences, with no enforced maximum brightness. - Conclusion : Personally, I liked Jaguar ROM... if it was advertised as a well-maintained A11 build with customizations almost matching crDroid. However, the sole developer ruined it by advertising it as a secure & private ROM, with some of the former's important additions paywalled & nothing truly done to make the latter any more true compared to most Vanilla/GApps ROMs (except for actually disabling NTP instead of pretending to do so while leaving background connections intact like everyone else). But then, I used v37.1 the way I described it and I've mostly found it reliable, save for some niggles like not-truly-black Settings, that persistent Emergency button in the lockscreen & power menu, Orion (the ringtone's name, not the teddybear and/or superhuman one) being enforced as the default ringtone for some reason, and no Vulkan for PPSSPP (not that I should be using emulators in OP6 in the first place since the OP6 lacks semi-permanent external storages like microSD). But still, for OP6, I don't see any stable alternative, especially from the OOS11-vendored ones (sure, TerminatorJ maintained crDroid 7(A11) until crDroid dropped it alongside Goolag & it's a possible candidate for me but read further). Official TWRP _11.0 is FUBAR, with some independent developer trying to make a working TWRP build for A11-A13 only to end up hard-bricking his own device & dropping support. Without a properly working TWRP (in OOS11, not OOS10 which has the still-working 3.5.2_9.0), I can't debloat the ROM I'm running the way I liked it, and I don't really feel comfy running it.
